Hello Friends, We are closed Saturday for Thanksgiving after our big weekend last weekend and recovery cleanup, we are taking the long weekend off. Sorry for the inconvenience. See you next week Tues, Thurs, Sat.
Enjoy the weather and your family, or just some rest. 😉 Happy Thanksgiving!
Now you will never be without your measuring tape!
Made of Leather with a single post closure, these leather bracelets are a must have for the knitter, designer, or anyone who just loves to measure things…yup…you know who you are. Wrap it twice around your wrist and you are prepared for that knitting project on the go, measuring your windows for blinds (personal experience) and a whole lot more.
Our font is a 14 point, which means it is easy to see for those of us over 50, and we cater to both imperial and metric measures because as Canadians we go both ways don’t we? As of May 27th, these bracelets are also adjustable so if you buy the wrong size, we can help you through the resizing process in about ten minutes.
These are complete for gift giving and come in a small wooden box, complete with a quote about creativity engraved on the inside of the box lid and colour coded to match your new bracelet. Turn the box into storage for your favourite notions once the bracelet has become a regular feature on your wrist. The boxes, and the bracelets are made in house-in the back yard actually-of our studio in Calgary. We use premium leather, but each one is from an off cut so colours are limited and change frequently.
This product is a handmade item so minor imperfections are inevitable.

Here’s our latest project we just can’t get enough of. The Neoclassical Wrap. This gorgeous poncho wrap can be made with either 12 mm or 15 mm needles in three sizes, but even the small fits everyone. It just doesn’t hang as low.
The super fun part is it’s yarn held double or triple allowing a depth of colour and texture. it’s also a super stash buster. Pattern available in store with purchase of yarn. I’ll post a few other versions over the next couple of days, so you can see the possibilities. Make this for $50 and up depending on yarn choices and size. Here we have used 12 mm an combined Ultra Alpaca Chunky with Independence, a Spincycle heavy worsted hand-dyed.
So some of us have have been making cowls inspired by the Scottish Highlands. here’s a free pattern from Kristen Brooks called Sassenach
It works beautifully with Chunky or Bulky yarns held doubled such as Swagger and Fuego (26.50 each) or single held Mega (22.50). You can also make this for as low as 12.99 with the new Big Bravo. Inquire in store.
If you get the Churchmouse newsletters you will know today they reminded us it’s a lovely time to knit a stocking even if it’s for next year, or to give a stocking kit to share the knitted love of the Season.
We have the Churchmouse stocking pattern in store and several yarns that would work beautifully.
